Congratulations to Kayla Schiffer (8G) - another ASHAR Writing Contest Winner!

We are pleased to announce that Kayla Schiffer (8G) has won the prestigious Gold Key Award of 2010 from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers Scholastic Writing Contest for her entry of a sestina poem, "Standing in Green." The poem will be featured in this week's AshreiNews, in Dr. Schnur's "Kids on Curriculum" article. This award is given for originality, technique, and writer's voice. The contest's mission is to identify the next generation of professional writers. We are so proud of Kayla and of ASHAR!
