The Boys are going to the Championships!
Girls tie!!!
Mazal tov to both of our Torah Bowl teams for an amazing performance in the Division Finals. The girls battled a strong team from Bruriah, and then advanced to defeat the girls from RPRY. The next hurdle to overcome ended up being a hotly contested game against the girls of YNJ. The final score was deadlocked at 17 all, with a tie-breaker presented to determine who would advance. The ASHAR girls were out-buzzed by a split second on a question that they could have easily answered. Alas, it was YNJ who would advance. Congratulations to the stars of our girls' team, Chevi Jacobson, Yaffa Jacobson, and Tamar Klein. The boys who earned a bye for winning the regular season had to wait for RPRY to defeat Kushner and then for YNJ to defeat RPRY. The final round to determine the division winner was a 2 out of 3 match. The boys only needed 2 games to earn the right of advancing to the championship. Leading the way was Aryeh Klein, supported by Aaron Fishkind, Gabi Rosenthal, Isaac Selter, and Jesse Schwalb. Congratulations to Rabbi Chaitovsky, for coaching both teams with exceptional mesirat nefesh and enthusiasm.
