Bio:  This will be my nineteenth year teaching first grade at ASHAR. They have been wonderful and productive years for me. I hope always to instill a love of reading to the children that I teach. It is so rewarding to see the results of my work. So many of my former first graders have become accomplished at whatever field they have chosen.

I went to CCNY for both my bachelors’ degree and for my masters. My master’s degree has a specialty in reading.
After graduating from CCNY, I taught 1st grade for five years in the NYC public school system.

I have been married for many years. I have two grown children, Eric and Melissa. Eric is married and he and his wife are expecting their first child. Melissa lives and works in New York City.

I enjoy reading whenever I have free time. Knitting is something that relaxes me. I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen.
