Dear Parents:
We are pleased to present our uniform policy for students in grades 1-8. Compliance is required for classroom admission. Here are the guidelines for the uniform:
- Shirts for boys and girls purchased from Land’s End, our school’s vendor
Polo shirts – white, light blue or navy with the ASHAR logo
· Long-sleeve or short sleeve (boys)
· Long-sleeve (girls) Please note that the feminine fit short sleeve shirts are no longer acceptable as part of ASHAR's uniform.
- Pants for boys: Navy or khaki purchased from Land’s End, our school’s vendor
- Skirts for girls: Navy or khaki purchased from Land’s End, our school’s vendor. Navy pleated skirts are also available from The Man with the Truck, 718-853-5832 (in Monsey on Wednesdays, 3:30-7:00, 20 Aishel Ln.) and from Uniform Headquarters on Rt. 59 in Monsey. Skirt length must be long enough to stay below the knee when the child is seated.
- Sweatshirts – Navy with an ASHAR logo purchased from Land’s End, our school’s vendor. Must be worn over school uniform polo shirt.
- Shoes/sneakers must be closed in the front and back.
- Socks that cover the ankle must be worn. Opaque tights (no fishnet or lacey stockings) and leggings are permissible.
- Each boy must wear a kippah and tzizit at all times.

ASHAR is fortunate to have a Uniform Exchange. The Exchange provides an affordable option for parents. Please email uniforms@ashar.org to schedule an appointment. Please specify if it’s for a boy or girl and the sizes and styles you need. You must have an appointment to come and your child must come with you.
The Exchange would love drop-offs! Please label a bag with your last name to receive credit. You can drop off at ASHAR or 5 Pearl Drive. (Please leave at the front door)
